Further to plans to reduce the number of County Councillors serving the city, the Local Government Boundary Commission is consulting on a proposed revision of the boundary of Trumpington ward.
Unfortunately, the proposal can not do the sensible thing and revise the city boundary to take in the whole of Trumpington Meadows. Instead Newtown would be transfered into Petersfield ward (which many will regard as sensible) while Trumpington would be merged into a new 2-member “Queen Edith’s and Trumpington” ward stretching beyond Worts Causeway.
